CIRCLE MARINA CAR WASH

Part restoration and part modernization, BBA Architecture was responsible for retrofitting this historically significant Googie Architecture car wash building in Long Beach with the latest in automobile washing equipment. Care was taken to repair or recreate many of the missing elements from the original design such as the spires along Pacific Coast Highway. In addition, the site was replanned to encourage pedestrian connectivity to the adjacent retail center and also to provide more shading to the car drying and customer waiting areas. The color scheme was part of a rebranding program that BBA Architecture developed for the car wash company.
