Civic Arts Plaza Improvements

Thousand Oaks, California

In 1993 BBA Architecture was responsible for the preparation of the original program and space plans for the City Hall portion of the Civic Arts building. After occupancy, BBA Architecture continued to do a number of other space improvements and building modifications such as: the new city hall entrance elevator and stair tower in the light well; the Police Resource Center; the Alliance for the Arts offices and the Emergency Response Center and the aesthetic design guidance for the new terrace decking surfaces.

Additionally, BBA Architecture was involved in preparing plans for the public lobby areas of the building that provided added security and facilitated operational coordination with other events in the structure.

Finally, the firm’s principal provided pro-bono services for the design and placement of donor naming opportunities throughout the building.
